    Very good

The grounds were very nice and the staff were very friendly

    The decor seemed quite dated

    Exceptional

The rooms were very nice. The layout of the hotel was unique and very different to standard hotels. It felt homely and the atmosphere was very delightful.

Just one criticism - in the evening when I went to the shower the water was cold and seemed to take forever to heat up.

    Exceptional

We booked just 24 hours in advance by internet, and on arrival were very pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a large luxury double bedroom with a view over the countryside and sea, huge bathroom and comfy bed. The grounds are beautiful, and the hotel is very close to Falmouth, just 10 minutes away by car. Breakfasts are hearty, varied, and good. The hotel staff were most helpful and cheerful and the 3-day stay was very pleasant indeed. I would rate it as very good value for money.

Penmorvah Manor Hotel is a gem but the restaurant is not quite as good as the rest of the hotel. This is the only area where I think things could be improved. The room is spacious and pleasant, but the standard of food is good without being memorably excellent.

    Good

All staff gave excellent first class service, very helpfull and on the ball. Food 5 star quality, good choice. Nice quiet location. Private parking.

No WIFI throughout hotel, only in one saloon bar area with poor strenght signal and inadequate seating for business use. Bar & service closed early.

Beautiful peaceful grounds and wildlife. Plentiful easy parking

Breakfast staff unhelpful. My wife and I got down to breakfast on Sunday morning at 9.35a.m.We thought breakfast finished at 10.00a.m. which would still be early for most hotels on a Sunday. They would not let me have a full English breakfast but eventually relented and let me have 2 rashers of bacon and 2 fried eggs. My wife wanted an omelette but that was refused. She was left with toast.

    Very good

Lovely location we went to a wedding that went very smoothly and the food was excellent Service too

That the owner decided to put down the carpet on the dance floor at about 11pm whilst us guests were still ther enjoying ourselves

    Good

The location, was stunning, although could have been sign posted better

The breakfast time needs to be extended to a little earlier. Also the the breakfast whilst nice, there was no room for flexibility, it was either you have this on the cooked or nothing, out of 4 or us who stayed none had the cooked breakfast as they could not accommodate our needs which were not complicated for example, I just wanted beans on toast with mushrooms, I couldn't have this as they didn't do beans. The breakfast was £12.50 so it was the dearest cereal I have had. I also had to go out and buy my 15 year old son a pair of trousers, as jeans were not acceptable in the restaurant, where I can understand that my son's jeans were smart and he was wearing a shirt not t shirt too, It was a little stuffy and the menu was disappointing

    Good

Looked to be very pleasant hotel and grounds, but my very short stay (late arrival and neccessarily early departure) means it's difficult to provide a fair review. Staff were friendly and helpful, even on arrival despite the late hour.

bathroom facilities a bit lacking- no shampoo/conditioner was a bit surprising.

We found the location excellent, the staff friendly and helpful. We would like to return in Springtime when the garden would be at its best. and possibly in Summer

The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food was top notch - dinner and breakfast. Extremely good value for money.

    Superb

This hotel is run by professional staff who communicate well and are friendly. Restaurant food quality and choice excellent - a rarity! Hotel grounds delightful.

We were upgraded to a room in the ground floor annexe which was excellent - brighter lighting for reading would be useful.

Quiet location, with lovely views from gardens over Maenporth Bay. Nice atmosphere. Options for dining or having a drink.

Style of decor gloomy. Room lighting by 40 watt bulbs, difficult to read. Breakfast was good quantity but unimaginative.
